Sneak Peek from The Most Magnificent Thing

Here's a sneak peek look at the 22 minute special featurette I directed for Nelvana Studios! During the making of this film, we rebuilt the CG department, created a new pipeline, and pioneered new software. We animated the film entirely in-house.

Our story follows the creative process of an 8 year old Girl, accompanied by her trusty Dog, as she sets out to make a Most Magnificent Thing. John van Bruggen wrote the screenplay, developing the story as an adaptation of the book by Ashley Spires.

Additional to directing, I supervised storyboards and design, working closely with Art Director Yaleh Paxton-Harding, Character Designers Lillian Chan and Jaewoo Kim, and Environmental Designer Scott Caple.

Our original score is by Judith Gruber-Stitzer. Sound design by Ryan Araki and Peter Thillaye. Foley by Andy Malcom's team at Footsteps Studio.
